Background & Experience

Angilique Campbell is an international teacher, leader, and mentor with over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry. She brings a wealth of knowledge from her background as a track and field athlete, professional dancer, and fitness model, and knows the discipline required to maintain a high level of fitness as well as how to recover from debilitating pain caused by imbalances and injuries.
Her journey began as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer, eventually leading her to the Pilates method, which she found immensely beneficial for all individuals, including athletes, the elderly, and those with injuries or physical limitations.
Angilique has taught at renowned facilities like Alvin Ailey, Core Focus Physical Therapy, and Equinox. She has also volunteered with New York City Parks and Recreation, PS6, Shape Up NYC, and KIPP DC public schools. Her expertise has been featured in, Women’s Health Magazine, Elephant Journal,, and Refinery29.

Approach & Education

Classically trained, Angilique challenges clients with the original exercises developed by Joseph Pilates. She also incorporates movements derived from her training in dance, gymnastics, yoga, running, boxing, martial arts, and physical therapy. Angilique did her comprehensive Pilates training at Power Pilates with Bob Liekens in NYC. She went on to do an advanced training program with The Pilates Standard in Sweden. She completed her 200hr yoga teacher training and a 1yr Buddhist Studies and Meditation course at The Shala Yoga House in NYC with Barbara Verrochi, Kristen Leigh, Sharon Salzberg, Dr. Constance Kassor, and others.
She studied massage therapy at Potomac Massage Training Institute (PMTI) in Silver Spring, MD, where she is an assistant teacher. There she did extensive coursework in anatomy, physiology, pathology, Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial techniques. She is also certified in prenatal massage and reiki.
